- The tradition was to burn the incense in the morning and in the evening (twice a day)
- The Jews would also pray at these times, thus the burning of the incense came to symbolize the prayers of the worshippers
- Heaven contains the altar of incense and an angel brings the censer in that contains the prayers of all the saints
- Prayers are a sweet-smelling aroma before the Lord
2 Corinthians 2:14-16
1) Death Redeemed
- By placing the dead flowers that have been dried in the censer and then placing the coals from the Bronze Altar into the censer, they bring the flowers back to a new life. Death has been redeemed.
- As we spread the aroma of Christ, we will experience two different reactions. Some will be drawn to the smell (the aroma of life) and others will be repulsed by it (the aroma of death).
Genesis 27:27
2) The Scent of the Son
