Respect means to take another look or to focus attention.

Pride is a choice we make when we rely upon ourselves instead of on others or on God.

1. Prideful people view submission as a weakness

2. Prideful people are quick to judge other, but not themselves

3. Prideful people are drunk on their own self-importance
   Romans 12:3,16
   
   
4. Prideful people are too selfish to be empathetic
   Romans 12:15
   

God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6)
