Class of 2012: The State of a Generation

  • 5 out of every 10 have never touched a postage stamp
  • 11 FEWER hours of TV than the average American
  • However,  they have already seen 19,000 hours of TV
  • They watch 3 hours MORE mobile video per week than the average American
  • They average 3364 texts per month
  • They average only 2 hours a week on the phone (only 65+ talk less)
  • Over 70% don’t have a church home
  • 53% believe that Jesus committed sin
  • 63% believe that Satan is a myth
  • 75%  believe that the central message of the Bible is that “God helps those who help themselves”
  • 90% say that there is NO such thing as Absolute Truth
  • Is it any wonder that 1 out of every 11 of their classmates have attempted suicide.
  • Only 23% say they are committed Christians.
  • At the current rate of decline, in 5 years only 4%  of High School Seniors will be committed Christians.
What can separate us from the love of God?
