Mark and Michelle Thompson - Wants to the Dance of David because they feel so BLESSED throughout their experience. Talk about how God is Jehovah Jireh, the Protector. Everyday since the tornado people from the church have come out to help clean up and rebuild.

Boyd Wainwright - Boyd's house is a complete loss. Boyd talks about ensuring that your relationship with God is right because nobody expected the kind of destruction to come through our community as we were worshiping last week...just 3 1/2 hours before the tornado came.

Bill and Brandy Moseley - Lost entire house. Talks about how they relied on God during the middle of the storm. Claimed God's Promises of Food, Clothing, and Shelter. Every closet was intact and perfectly dry. Keeps pointing to God. Through all this chaos, God is at work.

Recording Issues

We apologize to those who rely on this site for hearing the sermons from Hunter Hills. On Nov. 18, 2007 we started having difficulty with our recording equipment. That sermon was not posted. The sermon on Nov. 25, 2007 was posted, but it sounds awful. Starting on December 2 the equipment wouldn't record at all.

Due to the death of my father-in-law on November 18 and then the holidays, I had no chance to troubleshoot the problem. We finally tracked it down to short-circuit in the sound card of the computer that records. We replaced it, only to discover that the adapter that changes a 1/4" stereo plug into a 1/8" mono plug had also been damaged.

I was successfully able to record the sermon on January 20, 2008. Hopefully all of our issues have been resolved and regular postings will resume. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Revelation 1:17-2:7

  1. God's Intent: Live Well

    Question: Are you living Well?

  2. God's Plan: Walk Worthy

    Glancing at the Concordance

    Ephesians 4:1-3
The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren

    It’s not about you!

The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness.

You can’t get there from here. You must start from the other side of the mountain!” In the same way, you cannot arrive at your life’s purpose by starting with a focus on yourself. You must begin with God, your Creator. You exist only because God wills that you exist. You were made by God and for God—and until you understand that, life will never make sense. It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny

    Question: Are you walking worthy?

  3. God's Blessing: Family & Body
    • I Peter 2:17 (NIV) - Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.

    • I Peter 2:17 (Message) - Love your spiritual family. Revere God. Respect the Government

Vengeance is Mine by Don Campbell

Luke 6:27-28

We can trust God with Injustice, because God is the God of Vengeance.
No, that’s the God of the Old Testament
  • Malachi 3:6 – I the Lord do not change - also Will a man rob God?
  • Hebrews 13:8 – the Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever

No, you say, God is the God of Love. Yes, and more...
Vigilante Vengeance – action
Vindictive Vengeance – attitude

Lev. 19:18 - Do not seek revenge (action ) or bear a grudge (feelings)

God has a plan
It’s God’s prerogative

Will a man rob God? If you take revenge or harbor vengeance in your heart…you rob God of what is His…Vengeance is MINE says the Lord.

Tomorrow is the day of justice.
Today is the day of mercy.

Matt. 5:7 – Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy – axiomatic
James 2:12-13 – judgment without mercy to anyone who has not been merciful.

God will avenge at the Best Time. There is a day coming and it is circled in red….the day of vengeance the day of the Lord.

Rev. 14:17 – the wine press of God’s wrath
2 Thess. 1:6 – not two God’s – I the Lord do not change

Feel like you have suffered injustice? Take your injustice to the foot of the cross and see how small it is compared to the injustice Jesus suffered because of your sin.

Shepherding a Child's Heart by Don Campbell

We must shepherd their thoughts, helping them learn DISCERNMENT and WISDOM (God’s Wisdom).

Our goal is not just to have well behaved children but they need to know WHY they sin and HOW to recognize spiritual change in their lives.

It involves an investment of your life in your child’s life. It requires open and honest communication that reveals the meaning and purpose of life.

Values are not taught...they are caught. The shepherd doesn’t say to the sheep, "go up that hill"...the shepherd walks up the hill and the sheep follow.
